Reminder: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger) End-of-Life for CrashPlan, CrashPlan PRO and CrashPlan PROe

Due to compatibility requirements between the latest version of Java 7 and Mac OS X, future versions of CrashPlan, CrashPlan PRO and CrashPlan PROe software will be incompatible with Mac OS X v10.4. See July 2012 Support Forum bulletin for full details.

Rest assured, your current backups and restores will continue uninterrupted. However, to ensure your backups and restores continue to function under future versions of CrashPlan, we recommend you upgrade your Tiger systems to a later version of Mac OS X immediately.

Upgrade your Mac OS X v10.4 (Tiger) systems today!

Unsure if your Macs are on Tiger?

  1. Go to the upper left corner of the Mac menu bar
  2. Open the Apple menu
  3. Select “About This Mac”

If the Version number says “10.4.X” — you are using a version of Mac OS X Tiger and should upgrade the OS to continue enjoying CrashPlan upgrades.
