Known Issues with CrashPlan App on OS X Yosemite v10.10

Apple’s OS X Yosemite v10.10 is now available. There are known issues with the CrashPlan app on this operating system.

Today, if you upgrade your Mac to Yosemite (please see our update below!):

  • Real-time backup will not take place
  • File changes will back up after a file verification scan
  • Display issues or other unexpected behavior with the CrashPlan app and menu bar app

To resolve these issues, Code42 will release an update to the CrashPlan app as soon as possible

Please review our support documentation for important considerations and recommendations on using CrashPlan with Yosemite. If you are an administrator with a Code42 environment, please also view Important Information for Administrators Regarding OS X Yosemite v10.10.

We will provide a status update tomorrow, October 17th.
