Resolved: Apr 28: Intermittent Connectivity Issues: CrashPlan for Enterprise

Issue Summary

This afternoon we had reports of intermittent connectivity issues with some of our cloud servers. Affected customers may be temporarily unable to: 

  • Back up existing clients
  • Restore existing clients

Affected Products

  • CrashPlan for Enterprise customers who back up to the Code42 cloud

Status

Our engineering team is currently taking steps to resolve the issue.

    Update: Apr 30th, 2017 at noon US Central Time (UTC -6): 

    While this issue is mitigated at this time, it is not fully resolved and may cause client devices to be unable to back up to our cloud or restore for a short period of time. 

    To identify whether a client machine is experiencing this issue, please follow these steps:

    1. Open the Code42 Desktop App. 
    2. In the backup window, check for the message, "Destination is Unavailable - you have an older version." 
    3. If you have this message, check which client version you are running in Settings. You should have version 4.5.2 or later. 

    If you do have this issue, please check back in approximately an hour. If the issue is still present, please contact support

    Our engineering team is still working towards full resolution.

    Resolved: May 4th, 2017 at 8:30 a.m. US Central Time (UTC -6): 

    A fix was put in place in the Code42 cloud on Tuesday. We have been watching this closely since then, and the issue has not recurred. We are marking this issue fully resolved at this time.
